Leading Scottish Outdoor company, Forrest Media, has erected a gian new banner in Edinburgh's Lothian Road. The 250 sq m banner depicts a triumphant image of Olympic Champion cyclist Chris Hoy on Edinburgh Castle, holding his bike aloft, alongside the Adidas slogan "Impossible is Nothing".
The banner is a striking "Welcome Home" message to the Edinburgh-based British Olympic hero.
Forrest MD, Marc Keenan, said "We had to break our own previous best in order to deliver the banner on time.....the deal was agreed on Thursday with Posterscope and the banner was produced and erected by Sunday in order for it to be there in time for the athletes' return on Monday!"
The site faces head-on traffic heading for Princes Street along the Western Approach Road, which is the busiest artery in the City during the tram laying preparations.
