Forrest Group Formed

Forrest, the recently formed Property and Media Group set up by Chris Trainer are to relaunch their recently acquired subsidiary, Score Outdoor, as Forrest Outdoor Media Limited.
The Glasgow based Company, headed by Managing Director Marc Keenan, which was the subject of a management buyout earlier this year, forms the latest piece of the Forrest jigsaw.It is only four years since Chris Trainer sold Trainer Advertising for £27.5m to Scottish Radio Holdings. They subsequently renamed it Score Outdoor. Now, Chris with Marc has bought the company back and is carrying out a rebranding exercise restoring Trainer’s original distinguishing red and black colours. Famous for large format advertising, Forrest Outdoor Media is also Scotland’s leading supplier of property signboards and sports ground advertising.
Chris formed Forrest Securities after he left SRH and it is now the UK’s largest private owner of freehold outdoor advertising sites. His next venture was to form Forrest Developments with Donald Stewart two years ago. That company is now involved in several high profile projects across Scotland and were recently voted “Best Up and Coming Property Company” at the prestigious Scottish Property Awards.Commenting on his company’s name change Marc Keenan said: “It makes a lot of business sense to adopt the Forrest name and there are obvious synergies between ourselves and the other companies with the Group. We are also keen to expand our portfolio of billboard sites across the U.K.” Chris Trainer added: “We want to create a strong Group of Companies under the Forrest brand and this exercise will help us do just that.”
