RAPLOCH PLANNING APPLICATION
6 April 2007
Raploch is set to benefit from a £15 million investment which will help transform the area and create a significant number of jobs for the local community if city planners give it the green light.
The detailed planning application has been lodged to transform the disused, contaminated site at Drip Road in Stirling into a 50,000 sq. ft. development comprising retail warehousing.
The proposed development, which is adjacent to the Sainsbury's supermarket, will transform the area into an integrated shopping destination, complementing Stirling town centre's existing facilities, as well as providing much needed jobs for the Raploch community.
The land under application already benefits from a retail warehouse zoning and, if plans are accepted, building could commence in the Autumn, with a completion date likely to be Summer 2008.
